“Thank You Notes” by Jimmy Fallon book signing!

Tonight was one of the best nights ever. I went to the book signing of Jimmy Fallon’s “Thank You Notes” book. I’ve been a huge fan of Jimmy as long as I could remember. I’ve been to the show numerous amounts of times and have met him several times. When I went to today’s book signing, I decided I was going to draw a cartoon or two while waiting for him. I wasn’t truly expecting him to sign books as he already pre-signed them. However, he decided last minute that he was going to stay at Barnes & Noble and personalize the books for everybody in the store. This was my opportunity to give him the cartoon I drew. 

I went over to the signing table. He recognized me from previous encounters. He gave me a big hug and then I handed him my drawings and business card. He was flipping out with excitement over the cartoons. I was just so thrilled that an A-List celebrity would love my cartoons just as much. The fact that he is in possession of this means the world to me, and I’m thrilled to know that he can cherish this forever. 

How many people can say that a celebrity is in the hands of an original sketch? It’s pretty surreal to believe. Don’t dream it, be it.
